Lift and Season Passes

At Cardrona you can purchase a lift pass, rental, and lessons or a combination of these and receive a discount for purchasing the package.

Lift passes can be purchased as single days, multi days or season passes. Club cards can also be purchased which give discounts off lift passes as well as other winter activities in Wanaka and Queenstown.

Packages include Lift and Rental, and Lift, Lesson and Rental. First-timers in particular should carefully look at the later.

Day lift pass

A day lift pass accesses the entire mountain and ALL the lifts. A day pass also accesses all 3 Magic Learner lifts and the Beginner platter for the day.  However generally first-time skiers who need to use these slopes are better off with a First-time pack.

Multi day passes: “4 out of 6” Pass

Multi day passes are VERY convenient. They create savings over 4 days of skiing while allowing flexibility within a one-week holiday for weather and other activities.  The pass is validated as customers pass through the lift stations with our automated ticketing system.  Therefore the customer does not have to go back to the ticket office every day.  If the pass is lost then we can alert all the lift stations and even reissue a pass with the correct number of remaining days if the client keeps their receipt from issue.  Multi-day passes do expire if not used within the 6-day period and are not refundable unless the mountain is closed.

Multi day passes: “5 Day Anytime passes”

The 5 Day Anytime passes create savings and are best suited for someone on a longer holiday (more than one week) who wishes to be able to make savings on day pass prices yet retain maximum flexibility. 

As the passes are issued in voucher form they will need to be validated daily.  This process involves visiting ticketing services either in Wanaka, Queenstown or on the mountain daily to exchange the voucher for a valid day lift pass.

Club Card

Purchase a Cardrona Club Card to get discounted daily lift tickets as well as discounts on other winter activities off mountain.

The Club Card looks similar to a Season Pass with your photo on it and must be presented at the Ticketing Office to receive your discount. Makes sense if you are skiing or boarding 3 days or more at anytime throughout the season as well as doing other activities on your holiday. *Loyalty Discount - last year’s (2007) season pass holders receive a loyalty discount of $20 for Adults and Students, $5 for Children and $10 for Veterans. Definitions for day passes

Half-Day: Passes apply from 12.30pm onwards

Age As at 1 June 2008
Student NZ and Australian resident students ONLY.  Current identification is required from the institute at which the student is enrolled full-time. ISIC cards are NOT accepted.
Child Currently attending school, 6-17 years inclusive.
CHILDREN U6 Children under 6 years ski for free. Please collect a complimentary ticket from the ticket office. Alternatively these children can have their own season pass for a small processing fee ($5).
60-74 years 60 to 74 years of age.
75 years + 75 years of age or older ski for free. Please collect a complimentary ticket from the ticket office. Alternatively you can have your own season pass for a small processing fee ($5).

Purchasers of a Cardrona Alpine Resort pass will be deemed to have accepted the following Terms and Conditions.
