Media Policy

Cardrona Alpine Resort welcomes members of the press and media and will provide complimentary or industry day passes and other services where possible to media staff who are on assignment.

To make your visit as productive as possible we have the following guidelines:

Notify Cardrona at least 48 hours prior to arrival. Tell us the purpose of your visit, indicate your media affiliation, the estimated time and date of your arrival, and estimated time spent with us.  Send an email to media liaison OR phone the Marketing Department on +64 3 443 7341.

Supply a letter on company letterhead for yourself and any accompanying personnel from your editor, publisher, news director or producer and copy of the publication.

Complimentary day lift tickets will be issued to those writers, editors, on-air persons or photographers directly responsible for airing/publishing Cardrona Alpine Resort information or footage.  Industry passes will be offered to those who are on-selling photographs, video footage and articles.

After your visit, we ask that you please send copies of the resulting article or broadcast tapes for our files.

New Advanced Triple Jump Line at Cardrona – Bigger, Bolder and Safer.

A new expanded pizzeria will be built in the Captain’s Basin at Cardrona Alpine Resort. It will be situated in the same location as the existing pizzeria but will have over double the number of seats (240) and toilets (15).... click here for more

New Chairlift at Captain's Basin
5 December, 2007.

Cardrona today announced the purchase of a high speed detachable quad chairlift in Captain's Basin. The new Poma chairlift will be ready to ride at the start of the 2008 season.

The Captain's Express chairlift’s speed will be two and a half times quicker than the existing quad with a journey only taking 3 ½ minutes versus the existing 9 minutes... click here for more
