Kids Programme Centre (5-14 Years)Full-day lessons with lunch, care and activities. The Kids Programme Centre is located at the very front of the base facilities, beside the “archway”. Same as the Kids Club, the focus is on going skiing morning and afternoon with fun instructors and spending the times between refuelling, creating and resting up. The difference is that they are with the same kids and instructors for a mulitple number of days. The Kids Centre is ‘their’ place on snow, dedicated to making everyone’s day on the slopes as good as it can be. The kids make lots of new friends and do heaps of skiing. Bookings are recommended. Senior Kids Club multi day packages are available. Skiwees & LowridersCardrona’s most famous accelerated development programmes “Skiwees” (skiing for children aged from 5years to 14years) or “Lowriders” (snowboarding for children aged from 8years to 14years). This is a four day programme commencing every Monday during the season and finishing on Thursday. Designed for kids aged 5 – 14 years, who would like to make real progress and meet new friends. Each day includes 6 hours of supervision with the same group and instructor. The Kids will be on the snow between 4 to 5 hours a day while leaving time for lunch and activities with their friends based out of the Kids Programme Centre. Drop your children off at the relevant Kids Club by 9.30am and collect them at 4pm knowing that they will be having a great time with friends and their instructor. Ability Levels Ski: Green 1 – Have never skied before. Green 1b – Can slow down and stop, and sometimes change direction. Blue 2 – Can link wedge turns on easy terrain, can use MacDougall’s Lift. Red 3 – Can link turns on all green and some blue runs, and skis are parallel at the end of turns. Can use MacDougall’s & Captains lifts. Yellow 4 – Skis are trying for parallel turns. Can ski comfortably on all groomed runs and use all chairlifts. Black 5 & 6 – Ski parallel over entire mountain. Do jumps and moguls. Use all chairs and terrain. Snowboard: Green – Beginner Blue – Intermediate Black - Advanced |
